Life of Pi - The Movie
The movie, Life of Pi was good, very entertaining,
visually beautiful, but not as strong as the book. The book is funny. This is
not apparent in the movie. The details described in the novel masterfully
connect the storyline. Martel is thoughtful where as the screenplay glosses
over major points, which would have contributed positively to the viewer’s
experience of the movie. Unfortunately, the movie watcher may miss or not fully
grasp some major aspects of the plot because it is not completely clear. I
thought a boy in a boat with a tiger, lost at sea might get boring to read. Not
so! The book captured me from beginning to end, while parts of the movie were
flat, unnecessary and not well told.
